Wildlife Nest Box Program

6-7pm. Help to monitor or even build nest boxes for raptors (owls, falcons), mammals (flying squirrels, bats), ducks (wood ducks, hooded mergansers), and songbirds (bluebirds). Registration required.

Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas, 1 Feb 2019 - 31 Aug 2019

Final year of a 5 year survey documenting the distribution and abundance of all birds species that breed in WI. Birders of all skill levels (novice-professional) are welcome!

Citizen Lake Monitoring Network, 15 Mar 2019 - 15 Nov 2019
Organization: Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, UW-Extension
Location: statewide
Monitor your lake's water clarity, water chemistry, ice on and ice off, and species composition. Trainings available.

American Kestrel Nestbox Monitoring Program, 15 Mar 2019 - 30 Sep 2019
Organization: American Kestrel Partnership
Location: statewide
Volunteers with the American Kestrel Partnership erect and monitor nest boxes for the birds. This serves the dual purpose of creating nesting habitat and providing data that can be used to investigate the kestrels decline.

Wisconsin Master Naturalist Training, 16 Mar 2019 - 19 Oct 2019
Organization: UW-Extension, Carpenter Nature Center, St. Croix County Parks, The Friends of Willow River & Kinnickinnic State Parks, and The Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center
