Year Started:
2017

Purpose:
The purpose of the Bog Guardian program is to keep invasive plants out of the Cedarburg Bog, the UWM Field Staton and surrounding State Natural Areas. Right now, compared to the surrounding area, the Bog and adjacent natural areas are minimally affected by invasives.. We aim to create an invasive-free buffer on roadways and private lands surrounding this special wetland with the help of local landowners and volunteers. Volunteers will monitor and control invasive species, in an Adopt-a-road style.
