Island between Old Abe Lake and the Chippewa River. Accessed by crossing old bridge, first right turn north of CTH Y on Hwy 178. [11:05-13:34, partly sunny, 72 F]

Netted one female to confirm ID by examination of subgenital plates. Two or three other black-legged meadowhawks seen, including one mature male. Likely this species.
