Single nymph was found in Haukkala Creek just 30m upstream from the mouth at Lake Superior. I was kicknetting along the west bank among the sedge and tree roots (there were few of these in the creek, but the nymph was likely in them). This was the only nymph found. The bottom was thick soft clay (several feet thick) making walking very difficult. There was no flow as Lake Superior surf had kicked up sand dunes and dammed the creek. This may have created hypoxic conditions as we found dead fish upstream from the site. The shoreline was largely shaded, but the central area of the creek was mostly open canopied.
