Black-tipped Darner (Aeshna tuberculifera)

Collection Credit goes to Courtney Allison and Briana Peterson; They spotted two Aeshna species, one of which we netted together. This ended up being a Black-tipped Darner as identified by the all-black 10th abdominal segment, brilliant blue to yellow-green thoracic markings, and bright blue, sparsely patterned spots on the abdomen. We photographed and released the darner.
