Harper's Prairie Pond (retention pond and surrounding prairie) on west side of Beloit, WI. In the triangle made by 3 roads: S. Madison Road (= Hwy. 213), Whipple St., and Frederick St.

Several flying over adjacent prairie. in years past, these (and black saddlebags) are typically the most abundant dragonflies throughout the season; this year, neither species has been abundant.
