Small creek that empties into Lake Como. Sandy bottom, rocky in shallow sections. A few feet wide in most places, occasionally widening into small pools. Much grassy vegetation growing in shallow areas. Shoreline densely vegetated with tall grass. Shrubby vegetation nearby in some sections.

Shadow Darner (Aeshna umbrosa)

Early afternoon, cloudy, mid 80s. Much darner activity patrolling the creek. Netted seven Shadow Darner males, no females. Activity decreased significantly (but didn't stop completely) when wind speed increased and temperature dropped to upper 60s.
