Black Saddlebags (Tramea lacerata)

Photo is 1 of 7 Black Saddlebags netted, photographed and released. Numerous additional Black Saddlebags were observed. This is the largest number of Black Saddlebags I have observed in 2022 during one observation period. It was 76 degrees, sunny and windy. Observation period was 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. Several of the Black Saddlebags were netted on the ground, the remainder while flying. Most of the specimens were flushed from the grasses.
