Blue-eyed Darner (Rhionaeschna multicolor)
Observed
spotted a darner through my binoculars and was able to clearly observe for a few seconds prior to losing sight. Waded into the cattails in an attempt to net it, but it was scared off by a female red winged blackbird before I could get to it. Clearly had blue eyes.
