Large, remote beaver meadow and pond complex. Site is south of Gurney, WI. from Mellen or Gurney, follow Hwy 169 to Vogue Road. Follow Vogue Road east for about 1.25 miles. Then walk northeast for about 0.9 miles through the mixed hardwood forest and wetlands.

The site was in an open, braided beaver meadow and pond complex, near the edge of the woods. When I first tried to get close enough for a photo this dragonfly took off and landed on my finger, before flying off. Within a minute or two it returned and landed on an old log, where I could take a few photos.
