Lancet Clubtail (Phanogomphus exilis)
Photographed
My son saw a mating pair that had fallen into the water, and bluegills were swarming them and nipping at them. Most kids would sit and watch the feast continue, but he scared the fish away. The female (I think) flew off, and I scooped up the male. After looking at the photo when I got home, I noticed his right front leg was severed at the elbow. (2 photos)
Calico Pennant (Celithemis elisa)

Frosted Whiteface (Leucorrhinia frigida)
