June 17, 2015 — Rock County
Leeson Park, Beloit, open area upstream from where the dam was (removed in fall 2012) on Spring Brook (a tributary of Turtle Creek). Access on Leeson Road (off Milwaukee Road).
		Plains Clubtail (Gomphurus externus)
		Photographed

Only one seen sitting on vegetation along the stream. Yellow markings on club and top of segments match pronghorn as do the yellow stripes on lower legs. Unsure about the claspers--couldn't tell if the upper clasper has a side tooth and lower claspers look more hooked. Whitish face seems to lack a crossline. Eyes are blue and leading edge of all wings are yellow. (3 photos)

		Common Whitetail (Plathemis lydia)
		Observed

			Only saw one in flight

		Ebony Jewelwing (Calopteryx maculata)
		Photographed

Saw several, both male and female. At least one female was ovipositing. As she was doing so, a male seemed to be displaying by opening his wings. She would respond by opening her wings (once). (1 photo)

		Eastern Forktail (Ischnura verticalis)
		Photographed

Didn't actually see it until I looked at my photographs. Only a male "seen." (1 photo)
