Black Saddlebags (Tramea lacerata)
Observed
At least 20 in a swarm of at least 200 dragonflies feeding over the Kieth White Prairie. Large hindwing patches, black coloration, 2 yellow spots visible on top of abdomen around S7. I got good looks through binoculars at about 20 feet distance.
Twelve-spotted Skimmer (Libellula pulchella)
Observed
One in the swarm of 200 dragonflies.
Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens)
Observed
At least one in a swarm of about 200 dragonflies feeding over the Keith White Prairie. Yellow body, smaller than the darners in the swarm, distinctive flight pattern and tempo, with less wing flapping than the darners. Got multiple decent looks in binoculars from about 30 meters.
