Small creek that empties into Lake Como. Sandy bottom, rocky in shallow sections. A few feet wide in most places, occasionally widening into small pools. Much grassy vegetation growing in shallow areas. Shoreline densely vegetated with tall grass. Shrubby vegetation nearby in some sections.

White-faced Meadowhawk (Sympetrum obtrusum)
Netted and released
White-faced was confirmed at this site by close-up photos of hamules. Also, White-faced was the only meadowhawk at this site in 2017 (other than Autumn). Examination of hamules of this individual with 10X magnification supports the ID.

Confirmed ID by examination of cerci with 10X magnification. A few observed.

One male in tall grass near creek.
