2009 Marshbird Training Workshop to be held at Horicon Marsh
on 25-26 April 2009.

The marshbird survey training workshop is scheduled for Sat-Sun, Apr 25-26, at the new Horicon Marsh International Education Center off Hwy 28 just north of Mayville. We will follow a template similar to last year, with a start around noontime on Saturday, indoor activites through the afternoon, and then field activities on Saturday evening. We'll start off Sunday with more field activities and then have brief indoor wrap-up sessions, with a late morning finish time. If you can only attend one day, Saturday would be the best choice. Dinner on Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning will again be provided. We also will cover lodging for those individuals who participate on both Saturday and Sunday. I have reserved a block of rooms at the Mayville Inn, which is just two miles from the Education Center. To reserve a room, you must call their toll-free #866-387-5678 and ask for the DNR block. The block reservation deadline is April 17. After that, the rooms will be sold first-come, first-serve.
