I found a couple Baskettails flying very low on the along the gravel forest road. I suspected they were Beaverpond. Netting one confirmed. Impossible to say how many.

Common Baskettail (Epitheca cynosura)

Several. I never imagined this species would be a county record. I'm sorry I didn't photograph one. There were literally hundreds in the Kettle Moraine as I was driving the road nearing this location. I stopped at one point and captured two individuals to confirm ID. Each showed a significant amount of dark at the base of the hindwing, the cerci was a clean smooth boot with no spine or teeth.

My close observation with hand lens showed the cerci from lateral view upturned, like a small seed with a upturned hook. From above, the cerci appeared turned inward. However, my photography is poor. You can see the upturned hook in one photo but the from above I'm not sure I capture definitively the turn medially. I submit what I have here and accept critique.
