The tip of Delta Point in the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge. This is a section of bottomland in the Mississippi River valley.

Striped Saddlebags (Tramea darwini)

1 male at Delta Point at the end of Delta Road. Watched it for about 5 minutes at ranges as close as 3 feet. Clearly saw narrow saddlebags, black on segments 8,9 & 10, and the stripes on the thorax. GPS coordinates those of this observation. (3 photos)
