This is a portion of the Great River State Trail. The survey area is the 1.5 miles between the parking lot (off of Hwy 35 just outside of the city of Trempealeau to the East) and the bench at the lake. It is mixed agricultural, wetlands, open water, and mixed hardwood habitat.

Northern Spreadwing (Lestes disjunctus)

One individual observed. I wasn't sure from feedback if this is yet another Orange Bluet individual, or whether my tentative ID of Northern Spreadwing was accurate. If this is another bluet, then please move these images to that species.
