Spillway dike off of Fishermen's Road on the east side of the La Crosse airport.

Common Green Darner (Anax junius)
Netted and released
30+ including many males and several pairs in tandem and ovipositing
Prince Baskettail (Epitheca princeps)

5-10 including a couple of females flying with egg masses on raised abdomen tips.

Observed
40+ including many pairs in tandem and ovipositing
Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis)
Observed
5-10 males patrolling at the water's edge.

several. Much of the roosting cover was destroyed by mowing on the dike. It will be interesting to see how that affects the population for the remainder of the season.

several females and juveniles.

Red Saddlebags (Tramea onusta)

40+ males and pairs in tandem and ovipositing. They are present in big numbers at all still water habitats in the area.
Spot-winged Glider (Pantala hymenaea)

4-5 flying over the dike and fields nearby.
