Site is about 1.5 miles west-northwest of Marengo, WI. From Marengo, follow Hwy 13 north about 0.75 mile to Dump Road. Follow Dump Road west 1 mile to Riemer Road. Follow Riemer Road south almost 0.3 miles to River Road. Follow River Road west about 0.33 mile to the bridge crossing the Marengo River. Follow the river north and then southeast (downstream) about 1000 feet to a big logjam. The dragonfly's favorite perch was a sandbar willow shrub on the north bank.

This individual would repeatedly perch on an upper leaf of a sandbar willow (Salix exigua). I returned to this spot on August 1, and got more photos of apparently the same individual. I will post these also.
