Southern Spreadwing (Lestes australis)
Photographed
Several, possibly many, at what is the most reliable spot for this species that I have found. The pond has no fish and the water is typically clear. At one point, there were three ovipositing pairs in my binocular view. Single males were flying around so much, I really don't know how many were present, but it was more than I had ever seen. They were mature, but still in good shape.
