The Ridges Sanctuary - Family Discovery Area - Mostly upland and hardwood habitat with some sand blows and a couple small wetlands.

Citrine Forktail (Ischnura hastata)

Found in the middle of a mostly dried out wetland that was densely vegetated with cattails and sedges. Observed at least 6 individuals and they were highly localized to about a 20 foot diameter circle. Did not see the citrine forktails anywhere else in the wetland aside from that one spot. Last month, this wetland had about 2 feet of water in it.
