From Mercer, follow US Hwy 51 north for 9 miles to County Hwy G. Follow Hwy G east about 4 miles to Bass Lake Road. Follow Bass Lake Road north about 3 miles. The site was on a gravel road next to a large pond. The pond is apparently a private inholding within the Underwood State Wildlife Area.

I found the dragonfly in my car when I stopped to take some photos of the pond. I'm pretty certain it got into the car from nearby but can't be positive of that. I took these photos and then it flew off.
