This site is next to the Bad River, in a remote part of Copper Falls State Park. From the entrance to the park, follow State Hwy 169 east and north about 3.6 miles to Will Road. Go 1 mile north and 0.6 mile west on Will Road to the small gravel WI DNR parking area, on the north side of Will road. Then you can follow the gated logging road north, west, south, and then west again towards the site. Or walk SW on Will Road to another old, narrow overgrown road that heads sort of west. Once you get close to the river you should hit the North Country Trail, which can take you north or south depending where you are. Be prepared to bushwack through the woods down possible high, steep banks to the river. Alternatively you can take the NCT north from the pavilion area past the falls and north and get fairly close to the site, but that's a longer hike. Either way be prepared for big hills and possibly beaver meadows and ponds, depending on the route you end up taking.

Autumn Meadowhawk (Sympetrum vicinum)
Photographed
I am not too sure of my ID for this one. Seems to have an amber patch along the front of each wing, which creates a black shadow on the rock this dragonfly is perched on. ID Updated DEJackson
