Hartman Creek SP. Did the trail around Allen Lake, ‘swam’ in Hartman Lake for a good amount of time then did the trail around that lake. Lovely day.

1 male patrolling Hartman Lake as we were ‘swimming’.

Seen 3 or 4 on brief flybys. (Did not realize they haven’t been documented here. Disregard since I did not attempt a photo, but definitely seen them. Now I will make them a target on my next trip!)

Exciting to finally see these! Around 15 or so I would estimate on Hartman Lake. Pretty sure mostly male, but possibly older females also?

Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa)

Other than the smaller skimmers they were probably the most abundant flyers on both lakes.
