Skimming Bluet (Enallagma geminatum)
Photographed
WINGRA CREEK 10 (maybe more) males on and over lily pads. The last 2 photos are of the same individual that has a broken (not simply constricted) shoulder stripe which I'd never seen previously. (Is it unusual? It resembles the exclamation-point-like shoulder stripe of a Fragile Forktail, though this is clearly not that species) - this is shown nicely in John Abbott's Damselflies of Texas field guide.
