Trail between Lock 4 and 5.

Great Spreadwing (Archilestes grandis)

Photographed 1 female on the creek side on trail. Seen one male further down in open area of creek but he flew before I could get a click.

Eastern Forktail (Ischnura verticalis)
Observed
Still very abundant in vegetation around the open end of the creek. Both sexes noted.
Familiar Bluet (Enallagma civile)
Observed
Numerous throughout the out and back walk. Mostly seen along creek.
Orange Bluet (Enallagma signatum)
Observed
A handful of pairs in tandem mostly in the sunny portion of creek ovipositing on submerged vegetation. A few in canal also.
Tule Bluet (Enallagma carunculatum)

1 for certain seen near the start of the tree line along creek.

Shadow Darner (Aeshna umbrosa)

8-10 total seen flying on and around creek area. Managed to spot a pair fly into a tree on the opposite bank and sort of got a photo! The patrolling males were a bit too fast for me to get a photo today!

Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens)
Observed
1 immature flew on the creek for a moment before being forced away by the Aeshna. It flew briefly in open grassy area by parking area at lock 5 before I lost sight of it.
