Seen only 4 or 5 today. Got one perched in tall grass, but had to shoot into sun to get a photo.

1 female flushed in meadow and flew very briefly before landing for a pretty nice look. Seen a second similarity sized one flying in same general area on my way back out, possibly a male?

Seen 5 throughout walk, one male landed on a tree for a not very close look before he continued flying.

Autumn Meadowhawk (Sympetrum vicinum)

Abundant throughout. A few in tandem, got a nice look at a pair in wheel next to paved path.

Seen 3 total in meadow. One came down for a not very close shot for a moment.

1 female on the ground on my way out. Managed an ok look before she flew.
