Shadow Darner (Aeshna umbrosa)
Photographed
My best shot at this is a Shadow Darner - feedback appreciated. Looks like a male: I can make out the anal triangle in the hind wing, and it has 3 cells - I believe that this eliminates all darners in this region except for Shadow and Lance-tipped, and the spots on the abdomen appear too small for Lance-tipped. And there is a spine on the terminal appendages.
