Bay on Wolf River above the dam at Shawano.

Common Green Darner (Anax junius)
Several males and pairs flying over the lake
Common Baskettail (Epitheca cynosura)
Netted and released
Hundreds of exuviae, a few patrolling males, a dozen or more tenerals ready for first flight.
Black Saddlebags (Tramea lacerata)
2 males flying over lake
Dot-tailed Whiteface (Leucorrhinia intacta)
Netted and released
20+ males flying near edge of cattails and over algae mat in bay
Boreal Bluet (Enallagma boreale)
3-4 males seen. 1 caught and collected (2 photos)
Eastern Forktail (Ischnura verticalis)
Netted and released
20+ mature males and females. Hundreds of tenerals
Slender Spreadwing (Lestes rectangularis)
1 Lestes sp. teneral. Looked like Slender but missed it. I did collect and will turn in exuviae.
Springtime Darner (Basiaeschna janata)
1 exuviae. Believe it to be B. janata. Will turn in.
