August 14, 2014 — Ashland County

I hiked 6+ miles over 7.5 hours starting at north end of Julian Bay beach, heading inland to the interior fen, south to the ranger station and then north along the east side of the tombolo/beach. I spent about 4 hours traversing 60+% of the insular fen and was unable to come up with A. sitchensis, unfortunately.
