Turtle Creek in Beloit, WI, downstream from Cranston Road, on northern part of tight meander. Accessed along Turtle Creek floodplain path near T-crossing of Collingswood with Cranston.

Only saw one flying near water's edge

Very common. After viewing photos at home, I thought one might have been a smoky rubyspot (first photo). Went back the following week, but could not verify
