Common Green Darner (Anax junius)
Observed
Common. Several pairs flying in tandem.
Autumn Meadowhawk (
Sympetrum vicinum)
Photographed
Common over the shallow water with vegetation.
Black Saddlebags (Tramea lacerata)
Observed
Several patrolling the water's edge
Blue Dasher (

Twelve-spotted Skimmer (Libellula pulchella)
Observed
Only saw a couple patrolling water's edge.
White-faced Meadowhawk (
Sympetrum obtrusum)
Photographed
Only saw a couple, but photographed one male. Unsure if female is actually a white-faced. Both Male and females were in the prairie, not directly associated with the water.
Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa)
Observed
Very common patrolling water's edge
Azure Bluet (
Enallagma aspersum)
Photographed
Unsure of ID. Only photographed one pair in wheel formation. Can't see all the characteristics of this black bluet, but the amount of blue on posterior segments seemed consistent with the azure. Female, however, has an !-style blue shoulder stripe, reminiscent of a fragile forktail.
Eastern Forktail (
Ischnura verticalis)
Photographed
Saw several, but only photographed a female.
Familiar Bluet (
Enallagma civile)
Photographed
Very common in vegetation growing out of the water.
Orange Bluet (
Enallagma signatum)
Photographed
Only saw one. More tan and even yellow relative to orange bluets I've seen elsewhere.
Skimming Bluet (
Enallagma geminatum)
Photographed
Common in vegetation growing out of the water.
