Upstream from the County Road ES put in for the Illinois Fox River,just before the railway bridge and the Vernon Marsh State Wildlife Area.

Swamp Darner (Epiaeschna heros)

One observed as it briefly foraged the mouth of a wooded inlet. Not 100% sure of the ID, and photo angle is awkward, so please discard if incorrect.

Jade Clubtail (Arigomphus submedianus)

At least five males were seen perching and foraging, and one female was observed ovipositing - very briefly. Beyond the railway line, and into the marsh area, only one male was seen.

Several were seen, often in close proximity to the Jade Clubtails.
