Harper's Prairie Pond (retention pond and surrounding prairie) on west side of Beloit, WI. In the triangle made by 3 roads: S. Madison Road (= Hwy. 213), Whipple St., and Frederick St.

Common Green Darner (Anax junius)
Observed
Fairly common in flight along pond edge and above prairie vegetation.

Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis)

Females very common along path/vegetation interface. Males over pond, commonly associated with lily pads.

Only saw one female in vegetation.

Females fairly common along vegetation/path boundary. Did not see any males.

Familiar Bluet (Enallagma civile)

Saw a several females. Might be a Hagen, but given that Marsh bluets are more common at this pond, I went with Marsh.
