Milwaukee River Floodplain Forest State Natural Area - south of Hwy H.

Cyrano Darner (Nasiaeschna pentacantha)

Observed at least three males. They'd patrol along the edge of a fallen tree, chasing-and being chased by Common Whitetails. Saw one male do the sperm transfer in flight.

Lilypad Clubtail (Arigomphus furcifer)

There were several. There may have been some Unicorn Clubtails among them, but no clear photo was obtained.

Several - 20 or more. Occasionally one would hover close to the canoe and then perch on the yellow dry bag clipped to the bow. Netted one that was perched in the path at the takeout point.
