Master Naturalists are dedicated, trained volunteers for environmental education, stewardship, and citizen science. 3rd Saturdays of the month. Registration required.

Wisconsin Bird Monitoring - Owls, 1 Apr 2020 - 1 May 2020
Organization: Wisconsin DNR
Location: statewide
Volunteers conduct nighttime surveys along established roadside routes 2 times during the duration of the project. Must pass a brief certification test to ensure accurate data collection.

Water Action Volunteers - Stream Monitoring, 1 Apr 2020 - 31 Oct 2020
Organization: Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, UW-Extension
Location: statewide
Monitor dissolved oxygen, temperature, transparency, stream flow, habitat, and macroinvertebrates. You'll get help setting up local stream monitoring programs, training to learn methods for monitoring, written methods, data sheets, and more.

Wisconsin Turtle Conservation Program, 1 Apr 2020 - 30 Sep 2020

Report all turtle sightings, including road mortalities to the WTCP. Data are used to document distribution and abundance or turtles and to identify hazardous road crossings.

Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey, 1 Apr 2020 - 31 Jul 2020

Location: statewide
Conduct calling surveys of frogs and toads along set driving routes or monitor the phenology of calls at a single location.
